Ministry in Times of Illness & Loss, Part 1

Ministry in Times of Illness and Loss, Part 1, is a 9-hour intensive workshop designed to equip beginning pastoral caregivers with basic skills and concepts that will enable them to provide competent spiritual support to patients and families dealing with serious illness and loss. It is required training for Lifeline volunteers and interns, and is highly recommended for anyone wanting to improve their skills in providing spiritual care to others.

Topics include: Loss & Crisis; Basic Listening Skills and Communication Strategies; Story Listening; Grief and Grieving; Self-Care for the Spiritual Caregiver; Effective Hospital Ministry; integrative role play, and more.
